From Mid-February to early March, Maryline Le Beon went to the Near-East for a workshop about paleo- and archeo- seismicity and to do some field work in Jordan in the continuation of her PhD project

GSA Meeting in Houston 5-9 October

• Kamil and Michaela Ustaszewski and John Suppe are attending the GSA joint annual meeting Houston Texas 5-9 October 2008.  
• In addition John will be receiving the 2008 Career Contribution Award in Structural Geology & Tectonics from the GSA.
